Presenters Jenna Daniel and Keri Hobbs Unique philanthropic and volunteerism characteristics surround the current “young” demographic of 4-H alumni. This calls for a tailored approach to engaging, stewarding, and utilizing our most recent organization graduates. This training will encourage county and state Extension professionals in their efforts to increase program capacity and maintain a connection with young alumni.
Training objectives for participants include their ability to:
1. Recognize the unique characteristics of the young alumni population,
2. Identify roles that young alumni can contribute to their program; and
3. Differentiate the approach, roles, and format most effective to engage young alumni.
Engaging young alumni in your county or state program provides the distinct opportunity for Extension professionals to increase program impact through stewarding these individuals as volunteers, donors, and advocates.
