In 2013, the ministry of health set out to address the staffing inadequacies in the sector. At the time, the staffing levels were below the minimum staffing norms and this directly resulted into poor health service delivery. The health ministry worked with several partners to recruit, retain and train health workers, who in turn had to be absorbed into public service. This has worked with increasing staffing levels but services provision in some districts is still wanting. #NTVNews
