Displaced herstory and persistence of bodily memory

Displaced herstory and persistence of bodily memory In this collaborative work Despina Stamos, Florence Benichou and Marija Krtolica examine how the unconscios embodiment encounters the research on the nervous system in the history of medicine, and artistic imagination. The three performers use anatomical, physical metaphors, and object metonymies - clocks, books, chairs, lace chemises and hats, to express the dark poetics of medicalised trauma, inner compulsion of dance chorea, and a drive to uncover social injustices.
