Are Cheap Honda Civic Strut Bars Any Good? Let's Find Out!

The Budget Honda Civic build continues with more budget friendly mods for the car! In this video I install the cheapest (best) Civic strut bars I could find on Amazon/eBay and test them out.

I'm well aware that cheap strut bars/suspension mods are not always the best decision, but what do I have to lose? I found this set of "JDM Sport" strut bars for the 92-00 Civic/Acura Integra for $70 dollars shipped and wanted to give them a run for the money. The reviews were surprisingly good and if I could have a better handling honda civic and save a few bucks, why not?

I was surprised to find that these bars were higher quality than I was expecting, although I wasn't expecting much. The install is pretty straight forwards minus the cutting of the rear trunk carpet. You don't have to cut a lot, but just enough to slide the bracket in the hole. The front and rear bars attach to the top of the strut/coilover and should (in theory) make the car more rigid in the corners.

So after installing the bars and driving the civic, what are my thoughts? I like them! For the money, they work as intended and did improve the handling of the car in the small experiment I did. Not a night and day difference by any means, but definitely one of the cheaper mods I have done on the Honda Civic build. For the money, I would absolutely buy them again. I'm curious to see how they do in the long term, but I'll save that review for a later date!
